Designing the space for EME E S E was a multisensory creative challenge for our studio. From the very beginning, the materials and identity of the brand activated all our senses and inspired the development of the overall concept. Our goal was for a visit to the EME E S E store to become an experience that engages almost all the senses: primarily smell, but also taste, touch, and sight.
At the center of the space, a table is placed—designed as a point of gathering and exploration. Visitors are invited to pause around it, to smell the fragrances, taste some of the natural ingredients used in the products, touch the raw materials, and closely observe the colors and textures of the containers. The table is divided into two distinct parts, differentiated in both form and materiality. One part, made of marble, references the Greek heritage of the brand; the other, covered with tiles, evokes materials and aesthetic references from Mexico—the brand’s second origin. The interplay of contrasts and convergences between materials, colors, and textures creates a complex yet familiar whole that engages in dialogue with the brand’s identity and encourages a sensory connection with it.
