The project involves the total renovation of a 90s’ beach hotel located in Karpathos, Greece, reimagined to offer a refined, contemporary hospitality experience that harmonizes with its stunning natural setting.
All 57 guest rooms have been fully redesigned with a focus on spatial efficiency and modern comfort. Given the limited footprint of each room, the new layout introduces an open-plan concept featuring a transparent shower volume, enhancing the sense of openness and fluidity. The result is a more comfortable, visually expansive space with a clean, modern aesthetic.
The hotel’s common areas have also been fully reconfigured. The reception area now offers a more welcoming and streamlined arrival experience, while the breakfast buffet, kitchen, and restaurant terrace have been upgraded for both functionality and atmosphere. The terrace has been transformed into a lively yet relaxed dining environment that connects guests directly to the island’s natural beauty.
A major highlight of the renovation is the extensive redesign of the outdoor areas. A new infinity pool serves as the visual and social centerpiece of the exterior layout, complemented by a pool bar and the Belvedere—an outdoor seating lounge where guests can relax and enjoy unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea. Several ground-floor rooms have been converted into premium suites featuring shared or private pools and hot tubs, offering an elevated level of privacy and comfort.
The hotel’s already captivating landscape was thoughtfully enhanced through the integration of Mediterranean herbs and native plant species, reinforcing a strong connection to the local environment and promoting a sense of tranquility throughout the grounds.
This holistic renovation blends architectural clarity, thoughtful interior design, and sensitive landscaping to create a cohesive, immersive guest experience rooted in the character of Karpathos.
